How to Apply for a Mexico Visa?

With the agreement signed between Mexico and Turkey in 2013, people with a burgundy passport can apply for a Mexican tourist visa online. Holders of official passports (private- Green and service - Gray) Turkish citizens are required to obtain a visa from the Mexican Diplomatic Missions in our country.

Citizens with Special and Service Passports must apply personally to the Mexican Embassy or Mexican Consulate in our country and obtain a stamp-type visa. It is possible for Turkish Citizens to travel to Mexico without a visa if they have a valid multiple entry visa or permanent residence permit from Schengen Area countries, United States of America, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom (England and Northern Ireland).

Between 09:00 and 13:00 on weekdays, the Mexican Consulate and Embassy accepts visa applications. Applications made to the Mexican Consulate are completed within 20 days.

The decision to approve or deny a Mexican visa rests entirely with the Mexican Consulate. During the visa application process, care should be taken to ensure that the forms to be filled out are complete and accurate.

              Short-term or long-term students who go to Mexico for educational purposes can be granted a visa. The period determined as the limit in this process is 180 days. In addition, students cannot apply for an e-visa, as with a tourist visa. Visa procedures must be completed 30 days before the start of the training period. The additional documents required during the application are as follows;

              People who are going to travel to Mexico must have travel health insurance. This insurance is supposed to cover the duration of the trip, be 30 thousand euros and provide the original document. With this insurance, all your emergency medical intervention costs are covered during your trip.

MATTERS TO CONSIDER - IMPORTANT POINTS

  • There are some points that you should pay attention to after the electronic visa application applied by Mexico for tourists. The airline you will travel with must be registered and compliant with the SAE system. Otherwise, your visa cannot be read and recognized by the airline. It is recommended that you ask whether the company you choose is SAE compliant before purchasing your flight ticket.
  • It should be remembered that an electronic visa is a service that only those who are going to Mexico by air will use. Those who wish to enter the country by sea or land cannot use an electronic visa.
  • The Visa Section officer of the Mexican Consulate will approve the visa application if, upon reviewing the application file, he is convinced that there is no intention to leave the country and that there are strong ties to return. Otherwise it will be rejected.
  • If the response of the Mexican Consulate to the application is positive, the output must be submitted both to the Airline for boarding the plane and to the Customs Enforcement officer at the Mexican entrance gate. If the information saved in the system in the application does not correspond to personal documents, a flight to or from Mexico is not allowed.
  • Passengers with ordinary (burgundy) passports are required to have the documents related to hotel reservation and visa with them in writing, and displaying the relevant documents on the phone or in any digital environment is strictly prohibited, except for written printouts.
  • The applicant must write his/her name as it is included in the passport.
  • Care should be taken to ensure that the validity period of the passport used in the Mexican visa application is at least 6 months after the end of the trip; Must have been taken within the last 10 years and must have at least 2 blank pages.
  • Biometric photo should be taken without glasses, taken within the last 6 months, taken on a white background, it should be 4.5 x 3.5 cm in size.
  • The Mexican Consulate, as a guarantee of money sufficient to cover the travel expenses of the visa applicant; Requests the bank account transaction that has been actively used for the last 3 months, the wet signature and stamp of the bank, and the bank's signature circular as attached.
  • If there is any situation that requires the visa applicant to receive an invitation to the Mexican Consulate from an official or private organization, the invited person must send an invitation letter with a clear indication of their first and last name.
